Papaya Playa is a great little hotel in Tulum Mexico. The have a good selection of villas and cabanas, 60 in all, with some featuring private bathrooms and showers. The great thing about Papaya Playa is the fact that all the cabanas overlook the beach, and what a stunning stretch of Tulum beach it is! The prices are very reasonable for the eco resort. It’s got a great little restaurant and bar as well, although there are plenty of other options in close proximity.

TheTulum  ruins are less than three miles away from Papaya Playa, so there really is no reason not to drop by and pay them a visit. Remember to take some snorkeling gear with you, water and a towel! Now don’t expect 5 star luxury, but expect a chance to get back to nature and appreciate the beauty of your surroundings, the fact that you can relax and do nothing if you like, just listen to the sound of the waves gently lapping at the shore. I have done a quick new site offering discount prices on Riviera Maya Airport Transfers. This is for transfers from Cancun International Airport to the hotels in the Riviera Maya. In the future if the ever open the airport in Tulum or the Riviera Maya we will then use this site to offer transfers from both Cancun airport and the one in the Riviera Maya.

 

I think the prices and services for this transportation are both excellent, along with the fact that the vans used are all late model and fully air conditioned.

What a resort! I was lucky enough to spend a few days at the Barcelo Maya Palace in the Riviera Maya. It will take you about 90 minutes or so to get to the resort  from Cancun Airport and it is well worth the journey. This hotel is something special. The rooms are beautifully decorated and feature an extensive array of luxury amenities. Next the dining options are fantastic and there are plenty of activities to keep you occupied all day, should you get tired of working on your tan by the pool or on the beach.

The grounds are out of this world and will definitely take your breath away, the maintenance staff do a great job keeping them beautifully clean and manicured. This pools sparkle under the warm Mexican sun and tranquility reigns supreme. If you want to leave the Barcelo Maya Palace then there are lots of day trips and excursions to enjoy as well, including the eco parks of xcaret and xel ha.

The Barcelo Maya Palace is located in an area called Xpu-Ha in between Playa del Carmen and Tulum.
