What a resort! I was lucky enough to spend a few days at the Barcelo Maya Palace in the Riviera Maya. It will take you about 90 minutes or so to get to the resort  from Cancun Airport and it is well worth the journey. This hotel is something special. The rooms are beautifully decorated and feature an extensive array of luxury amenities. Next the dining options are fantastic and there are plenty of activities to keep you occupied all day, should you get tired of working on your tan by the pool or on the beach.

The grounds are out of this world and will definitely take your breath away, the maintenance staff do a great job keeping them beautifully clean and manicured. This pools sparkle under the warm Mexican sun and tranquility reigns supreme. If you want to leave the Barcelo Maya Palace then there are lots of day trips and excursions to enjoy as well, including the eco parks of xcaret and xel ha.

If you are considering a vacation to the Riviera Maya then now is a great time to book. Many of the hotels have very attractive rates and specials. Dreams Puerto Aventuras and also Dreams Tulum are both offering a great deal until April.
